Almost everyone trains their favourite things first and their weak points last, if at all. It feels good to open with the lift you are proud of, then limp through the accessory work you keep meaning to take seriously. The problem is that this order is exactly backwards for fixing anything. Fatigue is why last means worst

Bolting weak-point work onto the end of an already long session as an afterthought. If it truly matters, it earns a fresh slot, not the leftovers. Anything you only do when you have energy to spare, you are not really training.
How to actually do it
You do not need to rebuild your program. The shift is mostly about honesty and order.
- Name the one thing. Pick a single priority for this training block: a lagging muscle group, a sticking point in a lift, or a weakness like grip. Chasing five weak points at once is how none of them improve.
- Move it to the front. Put that priority first in the relevant session, or first after a light warm-up. It gets your freshest sets before fatigue arrives. This is the whole move, and it costs nothing.
- Give it real, progressive work. Priority means it gets enough hard sets to matter and it goes up over time, not one token set. Track it the way you track your main lift.
- Accept a small dip elsewhere. Doing your weak point first may mean your favourite lift feels slightly heavier that day. That trade is the point. You are redistributing effort toward what needs it, on purpose.
- Reassess each block. After a few weeks, check whether the gap has closed. When a weak point is no longer your limiter, promote the next one. Priorities rotate as you improve.
Stop asking "what do I enjoy doing first?" and ask "what most needs my best effort today?" For most people those are different answers, and the gap between them is where the easy progress is hiding.
