Dealing with Inappropriate Content
The Internet is a place where people with different and diverse personalities, perspectives, backgrounds, cultures and belief systems meet and connect. It's what makes the Internet so special!
Because of this, it's unavoidable that people have differences in opinion and arguments. These interactions can sometimes take the form of relatively harmless banter and constructive discussions but can also devolve into insults and hurtful speech that do not add anything worthwhile to our platform.
While it is impossible to guarantee that users will never come across inappropriate, vulgar and offensive words, images, phrases or ideologies on our platform, (or any other platform, for that matter) we strongly recommend users report content that they feel is inappropriate.
Reporting Inappropriate Content
Do not hesitate to report content that you think is inappropriate as:
- Reports are always anonymous. Authors of inappropriate content won't know who reported their content.
- There is no penalty for mistakenly reporting something.
How to handle inappropriate content:
- Do not engage with or indulge inappropriate statements, comments or posts, as this often has an effect of enabling and agitating the authors of such content.
- Do not ignore inappropriate content. Doing so inevitably leads to a toxic online environment.
- Users like you help keep our platform safe and enjoyable for individuals from all walks of life.

How to Report Inappropriate Content
Upon coming across content that you believe goes against our Code of Conduct or makes you uncomfortable, we recommend:
- Reporting the post or comment or image by clicking the "Report as Inappropriate" button and then following the instructions to finish reporting the content to us.
- Reporting the person that authored the content if and only if inappropriate content is regularly and repeatedly shared by them.
- Blocking the person that authored the content.
Once content has been reported, it will be reviewed by our team and appropriate action will be taken. Once the matter has been handled, you will receive a notification.
Following the above recommended steps helps keep our platform safe and ensures a better, healthier experience for all users.
