- Hold the ratio until it feels manageable. Stay at your starting ratio for a couple of weeks. When the last rounds stop feeling like survival, you are ready to progress.
- Shorten the rest, not the work. Move from 1 to 2 toward 1 to 1 by trimming rest, keeping the work the same. Shorter rest is a bigger jump than it looks, so change one thing at a time.
