You know the feeling. Someone says something that makes you laugh harder than you meant to. You find yourself hoping they will be there next week. On the way home you replay one sentence of the conversation, and there it is, that small flutter in your stomach you had half forgotten about.
KF.Social is for making friends, and it always will be. But some of the people here are single, and some of them would be glad if one of those new friendships turned into something more. KF Dating is for them. It is quiet, private and entirely in your hands.
01Friends first. Butterflies if it happens.
There is no separate app, no swiping, no matches and no score. You meet people the way everyone on KF.Social does: through matches, clubs, chat and Plans. KF Dating simply lets you say, privately, that you are open to more, and it gently brings you a little closer to people who said the same.
Friends first. If something more happens, it is between two people who both said yes.
02How it works
You choose to say so. On What are you looking for? there is one more option: I'm open to dating (private). You can also turn it on later in Edit profile, under Open to dating (private).
You say who.Who would you like to date? Women, Men or Anyone.
You give separate consent. Because these answers can reveal your sexual orientation, we ask for your explicit consent with its own box, unticked until you tick it. Nothing is used until you do.
Your matches shift, slightly. From the next day, if two adults have both said they are open to dating, and each fits the other's answer, they become a little more likely to appear in each other's daily matches. That is all it does.
03What nobody ever sees
It is never on your profile. Nothing about you changes for anyone looking at it.
Nobody is told. Not the people you are matched with, not your friends, not anyone. There is no "someone likes you" and no reveal.
It never filters anyone out. Your friendships and matches carry on as before; it only nudges the order.
It is never sent to analytics, advertising or AI services, and it is never used to put people together on a Plan.
So if you meet someone you like, it happens the way it always does: a friend request, a conversation, a coffee, a second coffee. The butterflies are yours. We just make a little room for them.
04Off means deleted
Turn it off in Edit profile at any time and your answers are deleted. Deleting your account deletes them too. The details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
05Adults only, and respectful always
KF Dating is only for adults, 18 and over. Everyone on KF.Social is here to make friends first, and nobody owes anyone more than that. If someone makes romantic or sexual advances you did not want, report them and choose Unwanted romantic or sexual advances. We review every report, and someone who behaves that way can lose access to KF Dating.
06Low pressure, on purpose
Dating apps ask you to perform. KF Dating asks nothing of you at all. You go on making friends, joining clubs and saying yes to Plans, and if one day the person across the table makes your stomach flip, you will both already know you are open to it, without either of you having had to say a word.
