- Switch to total rest when you are run down. Heavy, weeks-deep fatigue, poor sleep, or high stress mean your system needs to stand down. Take the full day off without guilt.
- Always rest fully when ill or injured. These are non-negotiable. Movement here slows healing rather than speeding it. Let the body do its job.
- Judge by how you respond. If easy movement leaves you fresher, keep it. If even light activity leaves you more drained, that is your sign to rest completely next time.
