San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services lists arts, crafts, dance, education, fitness and sports classes across the city. Fall 2026 registration is open. Search the activity catalogue by location and subject, and confirm age range, fee, schedule, remaining places and cancellation terms. The city also offers scholarships to qualifying residents, subject to eligibility and available funding.

Take part in a neighbourhood park project

San José’s Adopt-A-Park and Adopt-A-Trail programme welcomes individuals and groups. It requires a one-year agreement; individual stewards are expected to contribute eight hours a month. Applicants complete a service agreement and attend an orientation at their selected park. Review the commitment, available sites, tasks and safety guidance before applying.
