Reno has recurring adult recreation, library programmes and ways to take part in public parks. These are run by separate local organizations, so check each organizer’s current listing for dates, places and requirements.
01Join a City adult sport league
Reno Parks and Recreation offers adult recreational sports, with seasons and registration details changing through the year. Look at the current league page for a sport that interests you, then check whether individuals can join a team or registration is handled by a captain. Confirm dates, fees, venue and registration status before making plans.
02Find a library group or event
Washoe County Library System’s event calendar and Explorer guide include programmes at branches around Reno and Washoe County. Search for adult book groups, creative sessions or classes, then open the individual listing to confirm its branch, time, registration needs and age guidance. The system covers places beyond Reno, so check the address before travelling.
03Volunteer with Reno Parks and Recreation
The City describes both one-day drop-in projects and ongoing volunteer roles. Review the current volunteer information and contact Parks and Recreation to ask what is available, where volunteers meet and whether an application or background check is required. Requirements depend on the role.
